Our Love Story
In 2012, Richard came to Japan to pursue his undergraduate studies and kickstart his career.
Richard attends and serves at GIII Tokyo, one of the Indonesian churches in Japan.
In 2019, Gabby received a scholarship from the Japanese government, which led her to continue her Master's studies in Japan in 2020.
Gabby also attends GIII Tokyo, introduced to her by one of her friends. Here is when their journey began.
Gabby captured Richard's attention when she introduced herself for the first time at church.
Richard tried to gain more of Gabby's attention, and they started getting closer around Christmas 2020.
Richard and Gabby grew closer over time and officially started their relationship in 2021. (Gabby's first flower received from Richard when they officially became a couple).
Confident in their decision, they moved forward to plan their marriage.
Richard, along with his family, traveled to Manado and proposed to Gabby in front of her parents in January 2023.
In early August 2024, they marked their Sangjit ceremony in the presence of their extended family.
